Design Concept

Inspired by the garden at the asylum Saint Paul-de-Mausole in Saint-Remy and Japanese woodblock prints, Irises is a painting by Vincent van Gogh from 1889. Despite looking like a tranquil painting, Irises was produced at a time when the artist himself was battling with a powerful internal struggle.
